In this class, our teacher introduced us to what the subject is all about. Time is like a flowing water, once gone we don’t get it back. We were asked to describe time from our view as to how we think time is for us. For me, it’s something which helps us to maintain our daily lives. We were then asked to pen down a page on time. It was an individual work.

In the second half, we were grouped and our teacher asked us to read eachother’s essay on time and come up with the key terms from each and create an abstract from it. It could be done digitally or manually depending on us. We finally created an abstract using different materials which taking everyone’s views and suggestions. We then displayed our work in front of the whole class and spoke about it and explained it to them.

Our teacher told us that we had utilized our time very effectively and our work was also good though it could have been more abstract.

At last, our teacher spoke about time and told all about it. We have been given an assignment to write 3 different small paragraphs on how we perceive time as an individual.

Today’s class was really good and interesting and I am really excited for coming classes.

I could not attend today’s class as I was out of station. I got to know that the teacher talked about sustainable and non-sustainable things we do in our daily life.

Also, we are supposed to list down the sustainable and non-sustainable things we do from home to college and present it on an a3 paper.

In today’s class, our teacher reviewed our work. She told the changes to be made in the comic strip or gave suggestions to make it better.

We were working on it the entire class. I had to make changes in medium of color and worked with filling in of colors.

It is a great fun to make and design our own comic book. I could see the creativity in my layout. Though the drawing and painting was very normal according to me. I tried my best to make it look like an interesting comic book.

I could not make it to today’s class as I had to get books from Mumbai University. I got to know from my friends that they worked on their models.

In today’s class, we worked on the digitization of comic strip. I just had to finalize my work. I made few changes with colors and texts. My comic is about the traffic and manhole in Mumbai city which is main problem in Mumbai. It is about how a girl has to be on time for New Year’s eve but traffic does not allow her to and at last her car gets stuck in the manhole too.

In the second half of the class, our teacher marked us on the work we had done till then and we are supposed to be done with all our work by Thursday so that he could give us the final marks.

I still need to get the print out of my comic strip and need to finish my documentation. I learned a lot through this project as I could explore illustrator and Photoshop in a better manner and the best of all I could come up with the digitization of my own comic strip.

In today’s studio class, we worked on our Dharavi Market model. We discussed our main idea with our teacher and she gave her ideas and inputs to make our model better.

We then listed out the materials needed and then we went to the workshop to work on our model. We are showing the society imbalance and showing that how the more hardworking people are not given respect and the people who get all convenience are given more respect. That is the difference we are showing between Dharavi market and “Chamda Bazaar.”

It is really fun to work on this project and depict a particular market through a model. It helps us to bring out our creativity in a better manner and since it is a group project, it teaches us how to coordinate and cooperate with other in order to come up with a perfect work.

In today’s class, our teacher talked about the artist statement and Bombay draft. She gave her inputs as to how we could make it better and told us that being in a group we need to coordinate with each other and bring out the best work. She then told us how are fifteenth week review is going to be like.

We were then supposed to sit in our groups and we had to discuss as to what could be improvised in the Bombay draft and the artist statement. We all gave our inputs to make it the best and then our teacher reviewed our work and told us what else could be done to make it better.

Through this assignment, we understood the Dharavi market in a better way which would also help us to build our studio model with more information.

In today’s drawing class, we focused on the folding of our comic strip. I finished my rough draft and tried the folding to make sure if it work on my final comic strip.

I was not really satisfied with my work so I have planned to change my characters and come up with something better. I still need to think how do I have to go about it.

It is a really fun task to make my own comic strip. It would help us to bring out our own creativity from every aspect.

I could not attend today’s class as I had to visit Mumbai University to complete few formalities and today was the deadline.

In today’s class, I started with the digitization of my storyboard. First, I traced my storyboard on Illustrator and then started filling in the colors on Photoshop. I have done two scenes as of now and need to work on dialogue boxes and rest of the filling in of colors.

Our teacher gave us few deadlines and has asked us to be done with the digitization of the storyboard before the 14th week starts which means that we are supposed to work in our vacation so that in the 14th week we can finalize our work. Also, he wants the character sketch and the reasons as to why we chose to design the character in a certain way.

I explored Photoshop and Illustrator in a better way and I learned a lot. It is a fun process and at the same time we have explored a lot.
