I couldn’t attend today’s class due to health issues. I got to know that sir discussed about layouts for the upcoming assignment.

We are supposed to make a page of new comic strip, album cover and digitise the layouts.

In today’s class we had display of our work. We had to arrange our printed photographs, all three thumbnails and the write up. Our teacher then asked us to review everyone’s work in the class and write if their concept was fine and the improvements they require. We will be marked on the review we have done for others.

In the second half of the class, our teacher reviewed our work and marked us. She has asked me to get a bit more appropriate pictures which would define time better. She then choosed the less and more important pictures from them and has told us that now we would be working with less important pictures in the coming classes.

It was fun to review eachother’s work and  came across new ideas by doing that. Our teacher has asked us to finish the blogs for the fifth week review.

We did not have any class today. So the class will be rescheduled on some other day.

Date: 24th January, 2019

Our teacher was absent in today’s class. So we did not have any class. We finished our research work and were asked to go home.

In today’s class, our teacher checked the pictures we clicked for Gestalt’s theory. I chose proximity. We now have to create a 2D or 3D by collaborating all the images. We can either draw or make a model to show it as one. We have to come up with 3 ideas.

In the second half, our teacher asked us to sketch different cities from the book “Invisible Cities.” We are supposed to do total of fifteen sketches. We have to choose five cities and three sketch of each. I have finished three sketches in the class.

I enjoy sketching those cities as reading and putting them in pictorial form is really fun. For the next class, we our supposed to finish those fifteen sketches and those three ideas as our assignment.

In today’s class, we read “Invisible Cities.” We had to read a city and come for the class. We then discussed the cities we have read and our teacher explained all the cities to us. We came across new information and what the writer is trying to tell us.

Our teacher has asked us to read five cities and go for the next class as we would be writing those cities in our own way.

The chapters are really interesting and the discussions really grabbed the attention and I learned a lot of new things.

In today’s class, our teacher discussed different layouts, fonts and the way of writing style by showing different books he had. He differentiated the layout of the books and made us understand what it actually means.

We then had to get a text heavy book and gateway sheets and trace the layouts from the book. Also, we had to trace different fonts used on the particular page and categorize it into header, sub heading, body and signature. We had to make 5 layouts.

He then explained what we are supposed go be doing in the coming classes. We have to create two books of our own using our own created pictures and documentary which will be written in seminar class.

For the next class, We are supposed to finish our album cover created on In design and get it printed. I am really excited to come with my own created books too.

I couldn’t attend today’s class as I had to visit Mumbai University to get some changes in my BA subjects and collect the books. I got to know from my friends that they worked on their storyboard and thumbnails in both the classes.

I have finished one storyboard and working on the other two. It requires a lot of thinking and ideas but is fun to do and a lot to learn.

I couldn’t attend today’s class as I had to go to Mumbai University to get some changes in my BA subjects and collect books. I got to know from my friends that in today’s class our teacher covered the Egypt part of historical objects.

Date: 17th January, 2019

In today’s class, we showed our up cycle objects and different ideas to our teacher and he gave us his feedback on them. He then explained us that how are we supposed to go through the essay which we have to work on in the group. He gave us few key words on which our research should be based upon. Like: causes, effects, habits, utility, necessity etc. We have to first research on locality then nationally and then finally globally.

My group has taken “water crisis” as the topic and we are working on it. We divided our work based on different areas and we worked on it. We have come up with some interesting news and write ups on it and we are still undergoing our research process.

It is really interesting to get to know about new things and when we come across something which gives us a lot of information and we learn something different in that particular field. Since it is a group activity, it’s even more fun to research and share knowledge with each other. This way, we also learn how to cooperate and coordinate with our group members.
