In today’s class, our teacher spoke about light and its terms.
Light- Light is electromagnetic radiation which can be perceived by the human eye.
We then discussed about 4 types of terms which included: Diffuse reflection, Specular reflection, Diffuse transmission and Specular transmission.
Diffuse reflection: One ray of incidence and several rays of reflection.
Specular reflection: One ray of incidence and one ray of reflection.
Diffuse Transmission: One ray of incidence and several rays of transmission once the ray passes through a material.
Specular Transmission: One ray of incidence passes through a surface and provides one ray of transmission.
We learned all of these terminologies with the help of various material examples.
For the next class, we are supposed to get different materials to get a better understanding on the same topic.
