OBJECTS AS HISTORY- WEEK 6

Date: 8th February, 2019

In today’s class our teacher discussed about Greece and Alexander the great. He also talked about the Peloponnesian war and how Lysander took over and Sparta won. Coming to Alexander the Great, he talked about how eventually  Alexander pursued his father’s dream and went onto battle. His father gave him a mad horse: Bucephalus, whom he calmed and went onto battle with until its death.

He then told us how his tomb went missing due to the Roman rule but we will continue to discuss about it in the next class.

The class was really interesting and I could grab a lot of knowledge from it.

 

SUSTAINABILITY SYSTEMS- WEEK 6

Date: 7th February, 2019

In today’s class, our teacher asked us to work on the topics we were given. My group had taken Water Crisis and we were supposed to research on it locally, nationally and on a global level.

After the research, we had to make a survey on water crisis and take survey from as many people as we could. The more the better. We are now supposed to create info graphics and get it for the next class.

The project is interesting. Also, we had fun taking the survey. We also grabbed a lot of information and knowledge through this research.

INTEGRATIVE STUDIO- WEEK 5

Date: 5th February, 2019

I couldn’t attend today’s class as I had to go back to my hometown for an emergency.

I got to know that our teacher checked the three illustrations that we had to make on the city of dreams based on the stories we had written in the seminar class. She choosed one best and now we are supposed to create a light box using ivory sheets. The box should be of 8 by 8 inches and it needs to be open from the front. It has to have six different layers of cutouts from the illustrations that we have made.

 

 

OBJECTS AS HISTORY- WEEK 5

Date: 1st February, 2019

In today’s class, our teacher discussed Alexander, cyrus and the objects from that period. We then got few topics to research on in groups and now we are supposed to mail the information to our teacher.

We got an assignment in which the class will be split into three groups,Athens Sparta and Persia. The states will try to resolve their cultural differences and
they will try and highlight the problems of the old world. Understand cultural political and social scenarios and find objects and characteristics which identified them. For ex. Caste marks
Keep pictures, doodles etc.

In the next class we need to come up with the information for a debate and discussion. Today’s class was really interesting.

TIME- WEEK 5

Date: 1st February, 2019

In today’s class, our teacher reviewed the time pictures of the people she had asked to correct. I was one of them and got it approved. She then choosed three un- important pictures from them and asked me to work with them only now.

She shared two links with all of us which consists of huge amount of videos, audios and pictures. We are now supposed to combine our un-important pictures and anything from those links. We could make a new narrative out of them or stick to the same. Our pictures should be main in the narrative and things from the link should support the narrative. We can finally create a video, a presentation or anything we want to show our story.

We have got three weeks to complete this assignment. I have got few pictures and need to look for more.

INTEGRATIVE STUDIO II- WEEK 4

Date: 29th January, 2019

In today’s class, our teacher checked all fifteen thumbnails of the cities from “Invisible Cities.” We had to explain as to why did we illustrate the city in that particular way. We also had to tell her the Gestalt principals ideas. She marked us after reviewing our work.

She then asked us to illustrate our own dream city. We have to illustrate on the basis of write ups we had written in the seminar class. It is supposed to be done in 8 by 8 inch square. We are supposed to make six illustrations of our dream cities. I have started one illustration in the class.

It is a great fun to illustrate our dream city and I am really enjoying it. We arw supposed to get the six illustrations for the next class.

INTEGRATIVE SEMINAR II- WEEK 4

Date:29th January, 2019

In today’s class, our teacher asked us to write on our dream city taking Bombay into consideration. We have to refer to the six chapters we have read from “Invisible Cities” and write about hundred words on our dream city.

We are supposed to write six essays of about hundred words. It is also connected to our studio and imaging class assignments. I have written one essay in the class and have to still improvise it.

It is really fun to write on our dream city especially after reading “Invisible Cities”, I have been wanting to write one on my own. I have come across new words and their meanings. Also, It would test our creative writing. For the next class, we have to come up with all six essays which would be discussed in groups in the next class.
